  1. Yo. It looks like one of the woofers on my RB3's is gone. I'm assuming it blew due excessive volume. It's probably not covered under warranty. Does anyone know roughly what it might cost to replace a reference 6.5" woofer? TIA Jeff
  2. Yo...perfect conndition & 18.00 to ship to 91737. I'll get some close up pics later Jeff
  3. Yep, I got your PM & I just replied. Jeff
  4. Yep, I can pop off some pics & post later. Shipping would be more of a hassle with the RF's but I can do it. Jeff
  5. After struggling for a while on placement, I'm ready to try something new. I just find the sound a bit too bright with my Outlaw 950. At 1st, I loved this combo but I guess my taste in changing. All mint condition with Boxes & receipts from The Little Guys & Tweeter RF3-II's: $400.00 Rc3-II: $175.00 RB3's: $300.00 I'd rather not ship if I don't have to. I'm in Plainfield, IL & travel to Chicago every day so delivery in the "Chicagoland Area" isn't a problem. Jeff
  6. Yo. Maybe it's me, maybe it's the placement of the speakers ,my Outlaw 950 or the source but it seems like I get more oomph from my right channel for bass. There is movement on both woofers on the left speaker. Should that confirm that they are both working properly or will one woofer cause the other's movement from vibration? Should I open up the speaker to check it? I'm gonna swap the speakers later & listen for any difference. TIA Jeff
  7. Ya might have to break that down nut it sounds good to me. I bought all of my ref speakers locally for: Tweeter: RC3II: 278.00 The little guys: RF3II: 698.00 RB3II: 525.00 Jeff
  8. Heya. I live in Plainfield & work in Chicago but I can get just about anywhere within reasonable distance. Jeff
  9. So far, ATI is the only amp I've used so I can't compare it to anything. I wouldn't describe it as harsh tho. This is interesting cause I will be buying an amp sooner or later. I never really grasped the concept of different amps having different sounds. I would expect the Outlaw amp to sound similar to the ATI. It is my understanding that ATI makes or designed Outlaws amps with some variations in the parts used. Jeff
  10. I have something to say.... the 950 ROCKZ!! I don't have the 770... I have 2 ATI amps 1504 & 1506 on loan to me. The ATI amps are great but I'll probably get the 770 for color matching. I have been using this combo for about 3 weeks with: Fronts: RF3II Center: RC3II Surround: RB3 Rear surround: Polk In ceiling SUB: PSB TV & DVD's get the most use with the occasional audio CD listening. PLII with Cirrus (adds rear surround) is awesome in Cinema & music mode. I listen to a lot of satellite music in PLIIC music mode at ear bleeding volume and it is about the cleanest thing I have ever heard. DVD's are awesome and I find myself being WOWed by the simplest things like TV commercials My last receiver was a Pioneer 811s. It had all the surround modes but a lot of hiss & background noise. The 950 is crisp & clean with no background noise unless the source is bad. Shortly after getting the 950 I hooked up the 811s and did a full weekend of A/B listening to make sure the Outlaw was for me & it was clearly superior. $500.00 addl. superior??? Yep! I'm glad I stumbled on Outlaw. I have seen the 950 compared to Pre/Pros priced at 2-3 times the cost. I originally started researching when someone on this forum suggested a 1050. As a bonus, the Outlaw service & community is great. Jeff
  11. Heyaz. I'm thinking of replacing my RF3II's with RB5's on stands. I struggled with this early on but decided to go with floor standers. If anyone is interested please reply. I bought them @ "the little guys" an authorized dealer in Dec 2002 for 700.00 + tax. They are in mint condition. I'm in a southern suburb of Chicago....not interested in shipping them. 625.00 for pair. Jeff
  12. My RC3 just doesn't seem right to me. It sounds a bit thin and sometimes it seems like there's a vibration on voices. I am pretty anal about sound so it may just be me... no one else seems to hear it....could be the receiver too. I was thinkin about bringing it back to Tweeter to compare it to another RC3 but I'm wondering if I should just go to a RC7?? I have RC3II's (front), RB3's (rear) Pioneer Elite vsx-41 and an ATI 1506 amp. I know Klipsch doesn't recommend RC7/RF3II combo BUT another retailer suggested the RC7 would be no prob. Any feedback would be appreciated. TIA Jeff
  13. so it IS ok that the volumes sound different because of the tampered array ?? Jeff
  14. Heyaz! I have an RC3II and RF3II's for fronts powered by a Pioneer Elite 41 (the cheap one) and an ATI 1506 amp. I can't tell for sure but it seems like my center is really bright at times. I also noticed that the left woofer (facing speaker) seems to have more powerful sound while the right sorta compliments the sound when TV (Direct TV) is the source. Should both woofers put out the same sounds? Maybe it's me...I can't quite put my finger on it but I'm concerned that something may be wrong with it. It DOES sound better with DVD's but the "brightness" seems a little exaggerated at times...like I can hear the whistling in every "S" I've always been anal about sound so it's difficult to say if it's me or the speaker. any thoughts? TIA Jeff
