  1. While I was just at the SVS site, I looked at their B-Stock inventory. They had all three sizes of the PC-Plus available. I wish that was the case last week when I bought my PC-Plus 20-39!
  2. I noticed that there was a Saturday (2/22) posting on AVS where someone was sending back a pair of SVS PC-Plus 16-46 (he decided on the 25-31's). I assume these will be available as B-Stocks's within a week or so.
  3. I lived in Ft Wayne, Indiana. I got mine at Classic Stereo. Another store in town (Lehman's Electronics) has the RF-3IIs at $750. I don't know what they would come down to, but they have come down for me in the past. ********************* Original posts ********************* ---------------- On 1/20/2003 6:21:58 PM markmaple wrote: I bought my speakers in November from a local dealer. My local authorized dealer in Cincinnati isn't hard to budge! He wants $850/pair for RF-3II's. He is now down to $792 after tax, but still. And he said he really won't budge on pricing for the center and surrounds. Grrr... *********************

  5. I have bought once from Crazy Eddie (about 6 weeks ago) and wasn't too happy with the situation. First off, they make up for good prices by charging rediculous shipping charges. I bought a DVD player and they charged $27 shipping! I almost stopped the order when I heard the shipping amount, but I didn't. The saleswoman told me "Oh they pack it really nice". I kept calling back to possibly cancel since I was annoyed at the shipping. They told me that they couldn't provide a tracking number, but it had definitely shipped. When I finally got a tracking number, I found that it had not shipped at the time of my many calls. It finally shipped out of Florida! After more than two weeks, I finally received the DVD player. It was simply shipped in it's original box with a label stuck on it. There was a nice small hole in the side from shipping (some nice packing for my $27). Luckily, there was no damage to the player and it worked fine.
  6. I recently bought a pair of RS-3 II speakers? I really like the speaker, but the lousy grill is driving me crazy. The cheap pieces of velcro won't hold the ends down so the grill flares out instead of being flush on the sides. Couldn't Klipsch put a couple of bucks into a snap on grill. Do all RS-3 II's have this problem or did I just get a "special" pair. Has anyone come up with a nice solution. I figured I would look for some heavy duty velcro somewhere to try and get a better fit.
  7. I just recently purchased a (RF-3II, RC-3 II, RS-3 II) set and this thread has peaked my attention. I'm not too knowledgeable in an EE sense, so some replies would be appreciated. If a driver's negative wire is not connected, will that driver work at all? Is it common for the reference series to have non-connected negative wires? To check my drivers, is it as simple as unscrewing the plate holding the driver and looking at the connections or is there some things to be cautious of?
