Wizard of OBV

Hey m00n, Nope, I really am a newbie to this forum, have been a Klipsch lover since I bought my Cornwalls in 1983 and joined this forum recently when I started looking for another pair...and found them! The OBV stands for Owen Brothers Vault, my brother's and mine combined live music archive which currently contains about 7000 hours of music (a large percentage is Live Grateful Dead). I am the audio restoration Wizard of the Vault, hence the nickname... I digitally edit audio to bring old flawed stuff back to life. Wiz

While I was at the Klipsch HQ in Indy picking up a pair of Cornwalls that I purchased from Steve P., Charlie offered to tour us through the R&D section there. It was a lot of fun! Got to go into the large anechoic chamber, very strange with no echo or reverb to your voice, almost uncomfortable! Saw the stereo lithography setup producing a trial component and the laser inferometer that they use to measure speaker cone travel to check for resonances or flat spots. Very informative! Hats off to Steve and Charlie for the hospitality! Wiz

If there a listing posted anywhere of the years associated with Klipsch Serial Number Codes? I have bicked up a few by searching the forums but it would be handy if there was a list somewhere... Wiz

BMW - Mini Cooper S all the way! Its nice driving a 20K car that will blow the doors of 95% of cars on the road here! Had mine since July and would no trade it for a car twice as costly (except to sell it and buy two Minis!) Wiz

I have gone the DVD-A route, mainly due to the Dead releasing American Beauty in DVD-A. I have listened without my system complete yet (Klipsch Academy and two more Cornwalls on the way!)and am blown away by the sound quality! Much better that two channel CD... Wiz
