How about some input on changing the 13uf cap from oil to something newer? Also how about the 245mh inductor in the tweeter circuit? 1 uf bypass for the tweeter? AA crossovers

I am going to buy a pair of used La Scallas. DO you think they can be effective as a center channel for K-Horns if placed on its side? I will have the other one for sale. I live in the Chicago area. stuwart12003@yahoo.com

John you have La Scalas? I tried a couple of Mods to my Heresy center but it was never right.I even tried 2 Heresys for the center.I just finished my center channel prototype. I am using 2 K-33 woofers in a 6 cubic foot vented cabinet. The Midrange is a K-400 with a K-55v driver. The tweeter is a K-77. I tried several speakers to match the timbre of K-Horns. There is no match without the K-400. I now have a perfect timbre match for my K-Horns. I bet it would work great with La Scalas.

1. Call Klipsch parts department. I believe that the woofer is a K-33. 2. Sometimes you can find used ones on ebay. 3. You could also have them reconed. I have heard that Klipsch does this but the are many speaker repair companies. I have used Orange County Speaker repair.

Are all years the same?

Does anybody know what the screen unside a K-77 tweeter does? Has anyone tried the tweeter without the screen? Please post your results.

Klipsch used a "R" in the model number to indicate that it had been replaced. Klipsch warranty kinda replaced 1 with no questions asked. I am sure it is a match to the original. The new replacement is a K-24. I have tried the K-24 and other drivers like Layne Audio. There is very little difference of drivers in a sealed box. Keep your K-22Rs.

I have found a set of Industrial La Scalas for sale. They are installed in a church. Does anybody have a link to a picture of this style of speaker? Do all the 2 piece La Scalas have handles? Please help
