  1. Hi all. I have a RC-25 with duel binding posts. Was wondering how to wire it. Do i need to run two sets of wires from my denon 3803? Or just one set to either the top or bottom posts. Thanks all.
  2. Yes, the sf1 will be fine with the other speakers. I am running sf1's with a rc-25 center and rcw-5 for my back speakers and they hold up great. Just make sure you get a good subwoofer to make up for the weak low end from the sf1. Something like the rw-12 would be great or even a hsu stf2 works well with synergy stuff.
  3. When my wife and I bought our first house she said the same thing. "You want to hang those big black speakers where!?!?!" So, off I went to see what I could get for in wall speakers. I love my rcw-5. I have them set to large and they help shake things up a bit. With the 8" woofer it really sounds great. I have the rc-25 in front and the sf1(yes they are getting upgraded) in front with a denon 3803 and I think it works great. I do have to turn them down a bit to match up so I think they would be fine for you.
  4. So InnovaZero, just how big is the room you are using it in? Do you think it would work in my size room? If yeah, that would be great. Thanks
  5. Well, at first I was thinking about trying to stay under $1000. Then was just wondering if I did go up to $2000 if I would really see a difference in the "kick" with such a big room. If not, then I will just stick with the bang for buck idea. Other wise I will just hold out for a bit to get a really great sub for this room. Thanks
  6. So I gather from what you guys are saying is that the PB2+ should work even with this big a space and that the RSW-15 still wouldnt be enough. How about you Ear? You got any thoughts on this one? Thanks
  7. So what if I could go up to $2000. Do you think there are any subs in that range that could give that kick? Do you think that the rsw-15 would work then? I guess I could hide it behind something so the wife wouldnt freak out but I heard that the svs psb2 is huge so not sure if it would work as a end table or not. Oh, and is that even possible? Can you place stuff on a sub without them falling off? Thanks
  8. The amount I am going to spend is probably about $1000. I just wasnt sure if even spending more than that would give me the pressure I need to get the kick in the chest that I want. I thought about going to a store near me and trying to demo or buy for a day one of the $1500 to $2000 subs like the Sunfire True Subwoofer Signature. Atleast then I would know if it is even possible the get the pressure I need. the stf-2 that I have right now sounds good just doesnt give me that kick, so if I dont have to spend anymore that what I have now it will work out fine. Thanks
  9. So I will really need a big subwoofer for this room I guess. I wasnt sure if I was going to be able to get away with something cheaper or not. Now with the rsw-15 I really would get the "thump" in the chest that I want? OR could I go with the rsw-12 and be just as happy? Also where would you find out about building stuff on your own? I like the push pull idea of the RSW's but would have no idea where to start with that. Also what would building one cost? Thanks
  10. Hi guys, Was wondering how the rw-12 compaires to the hsu vtf2. I have a room that is 17 x 30 with a open stairway and am not sure if these subs will give me the "thump" in the gut with movies. I know I will hear them but I want to feel the base when watching movies. Also the specs look the same but havent had the chance to listen to them both to know how they compair. Thanks
  11. Hi all, just found this sub for sale at saturday audio exchange in chicago for $299. Not on NOUSAINE's list at all so not sure how it compaires to the RW-12 for around $500 or the hsu vtf2 at the same price. thanks
  12. I have a pair and love them. My wife didnt like my rb-15 on the walls so i got the rcw-5 and love them. I set them to large and they have really great sound with the 8" woofer. I am running a denon 3803 with them and they are a must have for people who have the waf going on. As far as the prive goes, sounds good. I got mine for 600 =( but I got them from a dealer and not online so not to bother by it.
  13. How do the Carver Knight Shadow subs compare to the definitive supercubes, either 1 or 2. Wife loved the sound and how small they were so looking for something in this size and price range.
  14. So I got the spl meter and set all the speakers to hit 75. Now what? I find it hard to believe that they charge $250 just for 5 minutes with a $30 spl meter. Thanks
