  1. My opinion is if you wait, you will never do it, cause your thinking will always be, well if I wait 2 weeks longer I could get this, or if I wait 1 month longer I could get this, if you are gonna do it, go for it, you may feel like you are missing something good, but remember you will probably pay less for what you get rather than waiting for the new thing and paying its premium price
  2. WinTV (I believe Hauppauge makes them) has a USB version of their card to, so instead of a card, its outside the case... Obviously they do less than some of the internal ones, but its an option... Also, the Office Max I worked at in Carmel, IN has their WinTV cards on clearance for the time being (I dont think it is permanent, just some sort of sale) so I would check your local OfficeMax (if you have them around there) to see if there has been any significant price drop
  3. I think the Radeon is a good chipset for a graphics card... like with all ATI chipsets it seems versitile enough for all of their cards, like the All-In-Wonder... A friend of mine, whose opinion I Respect, likes ATI and the chips, but he says he would probably stick with an nVidia product for the speed, support, and how well they work with their drivers... But I also agree with Paragon and XPhys.. Wait a bit, if you still like that card, the price will come down, and if you dont, something newer, better and faster will come out... I generally dont buy something expensive unless I can get someone else to pay for it for me Such as the new motherboard and processor that I am getting
  4. Taisol AMD approved CEK733092 Heatsink/Fan (comes with the motherboard processor combo) Also the same one Maximum PC used on the 1.2GHz TBird they overclocked...
  5. On http://www.thecardcooler.com/ I was planning on getting one of the big case card cooling fan setups (the one with the dual 120mm fans), they look like they could do the trick... Hey XPhys if you are interested I could sell you that big blower thing, just beware, its noisy, but it has a potentiometer thing on it so you can turn the speed up or down. I rarely ran it full out, but it output a buttload of air. as for its dimentions, its probably about a little over a foot in length (as in across the back), 8-10 inches wide (across the side), and about the same tall I have thought a couple of times about cutting holes in my case and installing this thing in the side of it, but your case will have to be heavy or else it would fall over.
  6. Why Would You Stick Duct Tape to a hairy body part then rip it off???
  7. I saw someone stick a small one to the side of his case before, but it sucked air out of the case rather than blowing it in, it was probably around half to 1/3 the size of mine and had only one rotary fan blade, but I wager it was effective, it was positioned in the middle of the side of the case

  10. ya know, Windows 2000 and ME have Internet Connection Sharing built into the network capabilities, all you need is for each PC to have a Network card and plug em both into a hub then play around in the network settings until it works
  11. Duct tape is like the Force... It has a Light Side and a Dark Side, and it Binds the Universe Together
  12. http://www.electricmotorwarehouse.com/images/dayton_blowers.gif the middle one at the top is close to what I had, but mine had 2 blowers, not just one... one on each side... kinda a cross between the middle top one and the middle one on the left side
  13. Nothing will ever be as loud as the fan I had on my K6-3 450... the motherboard it was in was not certified by AMD to work with it and I didnt have money for a new mobo at the time.. the chip ran really really really hot, so I took a huge blower (the kind used to move air in the ducts of small houses) and aimed it up into my case, that thing was so damn loud... if I can get a picture of it, I will post it, its rather amusing
