  1. Thanks for the info ... that's what was going thru my mind as I thought thru it from an engineering standpoint. My sub has a 525 watt amp built in ... NOW I'm going to need to upgrade my mains to keep up .... yeah baby!!!
  2. I added an SVS 20-39 PC Plus .... it shakes the house (EASILY). It's my first sub, so I really have nothing to compare it to. But it sure seems pretty damn good to me!! If I turn the gain up past 25-30% it overwhelms everything ... gets too boomy!! However, if I keep it @ 25% it blends and creates a synergy with my klipsch that ROCK!!
  3. I just added a "sweet" subwoofer to my Klipsch set-up ... is it possible, just by adding the sub that my Fronts sound will improve dramatically?? My system seems alot louder (at lower volumes) than it did prior to having the sub and my Fronts almost sound more clear (if that's possible?)... Anyone have any comments on that hypothesis??
  4. Thanks for the response Tripod ... I did however get off my "online butt" and head over to the SVS site to actually read what the differences were. After I posted that message I felt kind of lazy since all I had to do was go read myself. I went and tested the Klipsch RSW-15 today ... watched a couple of the good scenes from the DVD "The Patriot". Sure sounded great to me ... I just wish I could hear the SVS! I guess I may just have to buy the SVS and test it on my own system and determine within 45 days whether or not there's a better one out there in that price range $500 - $1500.
  5. I'm in the Minneapolis, MN area!! It's a great place .. you don't feel bad staying inside and listening to your system or using you HT!!! (Weather is alittle cool this time of year!)
  6. ICEMAN ... which one are you getting (2531, 2039, 1646) and how did you decide to go with SVS? I have the opportunity to listen to Klipsch and Sunfire ... however no one in my area has an SVS (audioenvy.com). Also, what's the difference between the PC Plus and the PCi? Thanks
  7. Thanks Doug ... that's just the sort of info I was looking for. I understand your point about not reaping the benefits of a sub-woofer if I use it mainly for regular TV .. however, I'm willing to spend the money for the small percentage of time I DO watch movies and listen to music. Can you give me your opinion on a nice sub-woofer. Understanding that I haven't won the powerball yet .... Secondly, how important is matching the brand of sub-woofers with the rest of my Klipsch speakers?? {Reciever is Sony STR-DE925 w/ the Klipsch (KM-6) Front's and (SC-1) center ... and it looks as though soon to be ____ sub-woofer!!!}
  8. I have KM-6 speakers that are mainly used (75%)to watch regular TV (15%)watching DVD's and (10%) rocking to CD's and the radio. However, when I do watch DVD's and listen to music I want them to ROCK/SOUND GREAT - I had the understanding that the KM-6's had (sub)woofers built into them ... is there a difference between woofers and sub-woofers?? And would there be any benefit to my sound quality if I added a separate sub-woofer to existing system?? KM-6 Fronts SC-1 Center Infinity Rear's Thanks
