  1. skonopa, thanks for researching that for me. I will try the side for now, just to get a feel for it. I will try the rear as well. Thanks .
  2. Ok, thanks great help. I will try it tomorrow morning. My final question is this: If I do the surrround above my head ( 3-4 feets ), it looks a lot cleaner and nicer than all the way to the rear, since the sofas and the rear wall are 6-8 feet apart. My ONLY purpose for surround is for HT effects, not music. For music, I would only use stereo: 2 - channel. Is doign the rear still the best for HT ?
  3. Ok, thanks for the advice. I will do that. My old receiver, DENON 3802, has speaker setup of surround A / surround B. For surround A, it pictures the surrounds as being on the side wall. Should I should surround A even though my actual surrounds will be in the back?
  4. Hi all, I wanted to ask where should I place the 2 RS3s for my HT ? I have Rf3 , RC3 , and 2 RS3s. In my layout, I can place the surround right besides my ear, (over my head a bit) , or the option is to go with the surround all the way to the ball of my head, in the back wall. Should I go with two side walls near me, or the back wall, which is a bout 4 feet further behind me? Thanks.
  5. I'm still deciding whether I should get the SVS or the reference 12 subwoofer. Can anyone give me some ideas? I've tried the RSW-10 and it was awesome. I use about 80%music / 20%movie. The SVS for this price is a pretty good deal.
  6. I'm looking for a pair of used or new RS-3. If anyone is planning to sell them, I'd would like to take them off your hands. Legend9
  7. Scott, I'm in need of a subwoofer. Do you think I should go with Klipsch or SVS ?
  8. Hey, send you a PM. Anyidea where to get the RF7s for a good price ?
  9. Its strange that Onecall's price is different from what Moon has given me. Is it only that special price of 1179.42 through that link? Because I've try the regular site, and its price is 1800 or so. Weird ! BTW, The 7200 is not THX certified. Do I want the THX certification? The Denon 4280 is.
  10. Price can be negociate, never said it was firmed.
  11. Hello fellow Klipsch, I am selling my RC-3II. It is in mint condition. If you live near me, I would be happy to let you inspect it for yourself. Its about 3 months old, but the usage of it is probably 4 times since I rarely go home much from college to use it. These Klipschs speakers are mine, not family. I am asking for 230 + shippinng. If you live near the boston area, it would be fine with me if you want to pick it up. I do have the original paperwork. There are no scractch or damage to the speaker. It is in *mint* condition. Drop me an email @ saigondatinh@yahoo.com in interested. I will auction it on ebay if no one is interested within a week. I am paypal verified. REASON FOR SELLING: UPGRADING SYSTEM TO RF-7 , RC-7. I also have the towers RF-3IIs soon to be on sale. OTHER ITEMS FOR SALE IF INTERESTED: DENON 3802, RF-3IIs Legend9
  12. wow, that's shipping included! I just might pick up that receiver this week. Thanks M00n and all others for their comments.
  13. LOL moon. Hey M00n, where did you get the 7200 ? And for how much?
  14. Just an update : I will be buying the HARMON KARDON 7200. Thanks for all the inputs. I've decided to give hk a try since so many people had good experiences with them. I also belive HK is better for music than DENON, according to a fellow Klipsch's advice. Now the only thing left is deciding where to buy it and what price range should I expect it to be around. So far, a lot of unathorized dealers are offering them at 1200ish. I had bought many many electronics from unauthorized dealers in the past, and never had a single problem. So I don't know what I should do. Well thanks.
  15. HK power rating is 100-110 , or so, as opposed to DENON's 125? (correct me if I am wrong). Does this make the 7200 seem a tad weaker than Denon? Or is HK power supply higher and cleaner than Denon?
  16. Thanks for informing me. YEs, M00n in here is associated with HK by default , =).
  17. I am leaning toward the HK because I was impressed by it when I enter circuit city and turned up the volume. Pretty powerful. Any owner who had both these models or with the 8000?
  18. Hi, this is Ralph. Interstate seems like fun. I am off college for the summer break. Can you give me an offer?
  19. Fish, the ugprade is theoritically to the HK 7200. I was also considering the hk 8000. Is that last year's model? Seems to have more power than the current 7200.
  20. I've decided to buy a higher end receiver than to go with separates, simply because I do not have that much money right now. Can I get a quick vote on which receiver is better ( controversial question, i know...) in terms of quality and power and overall. My current is DENON 3802. Music 80 % , movie 20%. Rf3IIs. Much thanks guys.
  21. hi, I was advised adding an amp to my current setup would benefit me more than buying a denon 4802, replacing the 3802. Is this true? I mainly use my HT for karaoke (2-channel stereo), and sometimes movie and music. Should I upgrade? If so, what is a good amp for my situation?
  22. That's a good advice. However, believe it or not, up to this point, I've never thought of a setup with seperates. Why? From start, I only know of buying a power-packed receiver, that's it. With seperates, its pretty confusing. Can you give me some recommendation for the seperates? PS This would be a much better upgrade setup than to any other seperate Marantz , Denon, or HK receiver?
  23. I currently have the DENON 3802, which I truly loved. However, I want to do an upgrade from that to a higher-end receiver, such as the 4802, or 5803. I want to ask the people who own any Marantz or HK or Denon to give me some inputs on which upgrade is better from this . My price range would be 1000-2500. Which receiver would sound BEST with Klipsch Reference series?
  24. I'm on summer break from college and would like to go on an small road trip to buy these speakers / subwoofer from any fellow Klipsch. I currently have the Rf-3s, no subwoofer ( give it to brother for birthday), so now I'm in in dire need of some upgrades. If you are in New England somewhere and want to sell the Rf-7s, let me know. I am eager to get my hands on the Rf-7s. Legend9
  25. Get the 3802 if you have budget limits. You should find one for around 500-600. In fact, I am planning to upgrade mine to the 4802, give me a reply if you are interested.
