Don't get another receiver. You will hear no differnce. If you get a seperate amp you will here a big differnce.
-
That is weired. I thought those were suppose to be a great
amp. I wounder if you has received a deffective one. Keep
us posted.
-
That does seem like a long time. I would go nuts with out my
system for 21 days. I would call the store back and start to
hound them. What happened to your tweeter? Clipped your amp
didn't you?
I have RF3II's also and have put a full 400 watts into them on more then one occasion. They are a tough speaker.
-
To tell you the truth I do not know alot about the pre/pros out right
now. It has been a long time since I looked into them. I
know rotel makes good amps but I am not sure about the pre's.
-
If you can afford it go with the 1095. Better more powerful
amp. You will be able to tell the differnce when you play loud
multi channel music or movies. I have a 1095 and it is not brite
by any means. It is a very good amp for klipsch because they are
dead quiet. You can't go wrong. Plus they are a very good
company to do bus. with. Very good customer support. I
never had a problem but I have wrote them emails and they were right on
top of things.
O ya I also have a 1090 in my system to make 7 channels, so I do like rotel with my klipsch.
-
mOOn, I have been gone for a while, who is your avatar? Kind of hypnotizing.
-
Sorry it has taken so long for me to get back. I would get a 1095
rotel amp. It is 5 channels, If you want 7 I would use the amp
built in your receiver for the back channels. Or I would buy a
1085 which is the 100 watt 5 channel, I think thats the number, and
then I would buy a 1085 used off ebay or audiogon. Use the 1085
for the mains and you have 7 channels. If people don't want to
buy rotel because they won't discount them then they can miss
out. They are some of the best sounding amps for the money.
As for a pre/amp I have to do some more research of one that has
HDMI. That will be a little harder I think, I know you can
get a b&k ref 50 or 30 used and they are a great pre/pro.
May I ask what you are feeding the tv that needs to be hdmi? You
might have to wait intill summer for the new models to come out for a
pre/pro. You could get the amps now and injoy the great sound now
and upgrade later for the pre.
-
With only 800 you might want to get a two or three channel amp now and
let the reciever to the rest. It frees up alot of power with in
the receiver for the rest. This way you will get a great sounding
system that you can afford. Just a thought. I did this for
a while and it made a huge differnce.
-
Give me intill tomorrow and I will come up with a good system for
4k. I just don't have the time tonight, kids soccer practice.

I drive a 4 door 99 Grand Prix GTP. I have all kinds of cool
stuff done to it. If fact I just raced a new Yam r6 motocycle and
just crushed it. The kid pulled up next to me after and said nice
car. I let my kid roll the window down in the back and wave high
as I then speed away and the kid had a very pissed look on his face.
If money was no object I would use the money and built my own
car. That is the only way to get what I realy want. But if
I had to buy a production car, it would be the new Lamborgini (sp)

Your nuts for even thinking of going with another receiver. You
have very nice speakers that require good clean power. You
haven't even heard what good things those speakers can produce.
Get separates, that is the only way. If you can spend the real 3k
then get a good used multi channel amp and pre/pro. Or New rotel
1095 for 2k and then you have another 1k for a pre/pro.
May I ask what you really need htmi for? Put all video directly into the tv or you are degrading the signal.
I spent some good money on my denon 4802r which actually produced more
power than there flagship at the time and it doesn't compare to the
separates. I wasted my money and I am kicking my self for it
everyday. Don't make the same mistake I have made.
Everyone that has seperates will agree that it gives you better sound.
-
I disagree. Adding a 1075 will give you a big advantage.
The 1075 is a good solid amp and is way better then the amp in the
denon. Yes waiting for a 1095 or going to a 1080 would give you
more. You are missing out on a lot of good sound with the 7's
with only powering them with a receiver. Those speakers need good
clean power to shine.

I have been gone for a while. I finished school for the
third time and landed a new job. I finaly bought myself something
new. I have been using 7 nad 2200 amps and have not been
overly happy with the sound. So I have found a realy good deal on
some new amps. I have just picked up some rotel amps. A
1090 and a 1095. I have 7 channels of nothing but good clean
power. I am using a 1090 for my mains and am now injoying stereo
all over agian. They are very clean and silent amps. For
the money of these amps they are great.
Just thought I would share.

Have you guys heard the new Queen Latifia? I think it is great. No rap on this one, only good old music. Take a listen and let me know what you think.

I look at all those fish advisories every year. What is funny is on the minosota side they have differnt numbers you can eat and what fish are ok. I have some friends coming up to visit, that is what the beer is for, and when the kid is asleep.
It is going to be hard to have no movies that whole time.

Ok, we are starting at Marrik state park. We are going to camp there for a couple of days. Then we are hitting the sand bars. I figure we will get down past Ill. and that is probally it. We are going to camp. We have a 10x10 dome tent. We are packing a huge amount of potato's. We are going to relie on my great fishing abilites to eat. I will pack snacks for the kid though. A huge amount of beer. We will be cooking over wood. Don't have to pack that because it is all over the place on the river. I hope to see bear and wolfs. That would be cool. I need to find a new lens for my camera so I can put some pics on.

The last three years as many of you know I have been having a lot of surgry. I also was sent back to school. I have to say that my son has been lacking the attention from me the whole time. So I am going to make it up to him.
I just bought a used 14ft fishing boat. Two storage compartments were rotten out and it had no motor. Well I got it real cheap and spent three hours and used left over wood that I had and fixed all the wood. I then went to fleet farm and spent $3.00 on carpet that matched perfect. Sat. I am going to buy 25 hp mercury from a friend in the family.
I finish school in may and am going to take a month off. My son and I are going to the mississippi river and camp and fish the whole month. I can't wait and either can he. I went fishing all summer with one of my friends for the summer when I was younger and it was the most fun I have ever had.
I just thought I would share.

I took my kid to the monster truck raly last night. We had pit passes and that was just cool to get up close and show and explian to him how it all works.
But what made me feel old was when they started to race I thought to my self, Man this is loud, this can't be good for my ears.
10 years ago nothing was to loud. Running a 350 with no exhuast or headers was just right.

I have had to upscaling dvd players and will never go back. I have had some of the best rated players like the pana'a. None would compete. If you have a big tv then this is a must. My father has a 36 wega and it is hard to tell the differnce between the two.
Remember you have to recalabrate the tv for the new dvd player.
Right now I have the zeinth machine, got one before they disabled the comp. upscaling. It does have a little green crush to the picture but I compensated that in my tv.
People that have not seen the differnce either don't have a tv that is big enough or calibrated correctly to see the differnce.
It took me three weeks to get my tv setup right.
It is not HD quility but close, and way better than progressive scan picture.

Voom
in Home Theater
I had voom for a long time. Loved it. Great picture and plenty of channels. I switched because they didn't have a hd dvr. I had to get a dvr back.
-
What is that? What type of machine? Does it have scrubbing brushes?

She should be about 85-90 pounds. That is what I wanted. When I fight with the dog I want it to be able to knock me down.
-
I will have to try those. I saw them at the pet store and woundered if that worked.

Don't get another receiver, get seperates. You may find the
speakers have a now good enough. But you will want to upgrade
everything. That is the problem with this sickness, it never ends.
