  1. "Finally an end to the mystery. TheEAR let me come over to take some pics of his equipment to shut you all up so here is a shot of his main HT."

damn! that's my dream system...how can you afford such a system and not telling me about it, Ears 7.gif...

  2. "I am 6.2,194lbs and can lift over my head with ease a 140lbs amp, holding it by the handles.I took my HGS18 one time and put it up the mezanine where I have two PC's,the HGS18 is over 100lbs easy. Also not to brag or shout but I have no truble moving my 180lbs Krell FBP600,no no sliding."

what is there to brag, Ears...I am 5'10", 175lbs and I can carry my 150lbs Krell 650Mc with ease 3.gif...

  3. "These VTL monoblocks are a sigtht to behold, must sound amazing too.Ah I prefer my "lesser" solid state Krell. Costs far less too"

excuse your arrogant, Ear...the Krells are not "lesser" and at $120,000 a pair (more then my Ivy), the Krell Master Reference Monoblocks are not exactly "far less" either...

the VTL Siegfried Reference Monoblocks cost 2/3 less at $40,000 a pair...beside, I prefer tube over solid state for classical music...

  4. "my point in saying taht in 5 years, MM will be much more impressive..and ceratinly challenge a lot of the smaller HT systems. Nobody said it would meet or destroy HT."

so you denied saying "In the next 5 years...I'm willing to bet they collide at hell-binding impact."...or unless I misunderstood the meaning of it...

  5. "Who is there, famous people...Robin Leech from the Rich and Famous? The Queen herself? The king of Saudi oil? President Putin?"

perhaps among those famous people is the 4'5" elf 9.gif...

and yes, I do go to LAN parties at my sibblings' and cousins'...we do play games like you, Ear 3.gif...

  6. "and yes it would be EXCEDINGLY easy to build something that could CRUSH the krell, it might not be aluminum, but you could have a custom cabnit made with a very high quality birds eye finish, use 4 adire audio tumults"

I am sorry prodj, if you know anything about subwoofer design at all, its NOT just about how big the driver is or how many drivers you use...and no wood cabinet can match solid aluminum, period!

    your point doesn't prove anything...

  7. "What I ment to say, is that in 5 years, the bridge will gap even closer."

what happen to the "In the next 5 years...I'm willing to bet they collide at hell-binding impact."? quite a strong statement don't you think...why the tone down all of the sudden? perhaps, you've come to the realization of your silliness comparing apples to oranges...

"I willing to bet if SVS really wanted to, they could build a $5-10,000 dollar sub (Whats Krell MRS retail, over $20,000?) that would match or destroy the MRS."

why haven't they? its really a simple question, you know...

  8. "More and more are MM and HT being compared...the two worlds are slowly merging. In the next 5 years...I'm willing to bet they collide at hell-binding impact."

    which planet are you from...LOL...

I've been waiting the last couple years to hear a high-end sub that can match my Krell MRS...so far none, nada, zip...not any Sunfire, not any SVS...and (I suspect) not even the Paradigm Signature 2500...not on this God's green earth...well, not yet...

and you're talking about (trashy) MM subs...not even in your wildest imagination...not ever...(unless there're no more women on earth) HA HA HA...damn that was a rough dream...LOL...

  9. "Chyang Fun,do they make the GangBang Fun?"

hey, stop making fun of my chinese 9.gif...

"They look nice these XPC Shuttle style minis. Not my style,I prefer the serious case where you can drop at least 5K of parts."

well, I take the cube to LAN party...ain't no way am gonna carry my 100lbs power system to any party 3.gif...

  10. "Award winning is generally on two levels - composition and darkroom techniques."

while I agree with you that composition plays a large part in a photographer's skill...still with limited functionality on the camera part, how do you obtain a well composed photograph (i.e. exposure control, depth of field, fill-flash, etc.)...badly composed photograph sometimes cannot be saved even in the darkroom...

"That same point applies to your Nikon vs. Canon bit. While you may be accurate, your arguement doesn't mean (to me) 'Don't use Canon'."

and I've never said 'Don't use Canon' (own a few myself, though I use Nikon exclusively)...the biggest thing for me about Nikon was compatibility of lens and accessories accross a wide-range of Nikon SLR bodies...an advantage that Canon so lacked...

"have you had a chance to see the newer digital processor photos? I haven't (I believe it is call X3 or something similar), but the technology is intriguing. The processor actually works on the same processing of individual color bands as emulsion photography with results (so they say) that approach the detail of 35 mm work."

no I have not seen it...question is how much does it cost (i.e. will it be affordable for the mass when it hits the market in its final)...

35mm films have come a long way...

  11. "If you are not happy with the performance of Klipsch speakers compared to others. Then why do you continue to comment or visit the board."

I've never said that I am unhappy with Klipsch speakers (own a few myself)...I am just merely disagree with PKuziel's statement...

why am I here? well, just in case if you haven't notice that there are more subjects in discussion here then just speakers...

  12. "Do I think Klipsch speakers out perform most other speakers in their price catagory? YOU BET I DO!"

    well, I don't...but that's just me...and you're entitle to your opinion...

"Looking at the number of posts you have made, we really don't know you well enough to know a complaint from a "Joke.""

well, there are some here that know me very well, very little and even not at all...and they don't act in a frantic manner...and they CAN all tell if it is a joke or not...

  13. ok, so I was exaggerating a little bit in the first sentence of the opening post...and the rest was just to poke fun at Klipsch...why are you people being so overly sensitive...

I have been on many boards in the last few years and I don't have much problem accessing those boards but I do have more difficult accessing this board especially of late...and this aint got nothing to do with my browser or software...

so if I can access 10 boards on a regular basis just fine and have trouble accessing this board then it aint me...

  14. mOOn, would you kindly tell me how did I "attack" this place...

I am not afraid to express myself cold and hard (but often with sarcasm) about anything I don't like here or any other board for that matter...if you don't like what I have to say, then don't read it...its as simple as that...

now, if you're hurt then you have allowed yourself to become too emotionally attached to it...in which case you need to get over it and get a life...
