Hi, been busy all week preparing for vacation tomorrow.Have more than half packed.Tried mailing three packages today and the post office refused to accept them as packed.I used old boxes and two had old bar codes on them and one had duct tape on it.Sorry, not used to mailing requirements. Hey Guy,I'm using the 5U4's in my MKIII's right now,what was your comment about cooking your power transformer,my understanding is they put out less current that the 5AR4's. Randy

Hey Craig, what if I just ship them off to you and take a look. Most of them are probably useless and some are probably a find. Heck, without a hard count I know there are more than 30 5U4's. But who uses them? I am going to need 4 preamp tubes for my counterpoint soon, Randy There are 3 steel bottom el34 mullards and another plastic based mullard in there somewhere.

Hi Craig, yes still kicking. Amps sound great and the resistor came in for the mac yesterday. Be up and running this weekend. Got some squirrels in the counterpoint preamp. Probably a weak tube.Cleaned up the c-22 and hopefully will have time to insert this into the system, Randy

Well hell, put the finishing touches on them yesterday and couldn't wait to fire em up. Fried a resistor on the front end board. Does anyone have a picture of the insides of a MKIII with the SDS capacitor board so I could compare the routing of the wires? Thanks, Randy
