  1. o.k....I Really dig these!  I like wood and you don't see much in turntables.  You likely set them up with top notch components & technical perfection and balance, right?  Probably out of my reach, but I am interested if you are taking orders!  Thanks for sharing your craft!  Beautiful!

Had a Lite...nope, did not hit the spot.  Vodka and cranberry/pomegranite time.

I love Vodka and Cranberry...Never tried Pomegranite.... You have given me inspiration

Mine consist of a short glass chocked full of ice with vodka poured to about a 1/4 inch from the top, and then just a drizzle of cranberry/pomegranite juice, sip, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat....  I find it less sweet than cranberry alone.

Okay...Im in trouble with this...on number 4 already and want more ...Tall glass, Ice to the top 1 1/2 shots Ketel One and 2 1/2 shots Nortland Cranbery/Pomegranate Juice

:emotion-21:  I will join you.  4th Lite... :emotion-41:   Time for the good stuff!   :emotion-46:

  3. Husqavarna used to make good motocross and enduro motorcycles in the 60's & 70's.  I think they make pretty good chain saws now too.  I don't have 1st hand experience though, my chain saws are all Stihl.  I would take it back to Lowes and tell them to exchange it or you will never go to Lowes again and tell them you will give all your business to Home Depot or Menards.  Rat bastards!

  4. Good morning!  Cup #1 - Cameron's Highlander Grogg ground fresh...went back to black about a week ago...sometimes better than others...tasting fine this morning.  Awesome photos and memorabilia blsamuel!  Did a run 10 miles North into Wisconsin for gas yesterday, diesel, vodka and whiskey.  Gas $245 per gallon up there...$289 In Northern IL.  Saved big time on the vodka and whiskey too...hence the late start for cup#1   :emotion-44:

Low 60's here and lovin it.  Going to get back in the mid 80's next week.  60's good football weather duder.

  5. One can only imagine what he,d be like today...Seen him 3 times the last concert was in Hawaii, I was TDY there for 6 months from Yokota AB. This was the lineup...

    Run DMC

    ZZ Top

    and the amazing SRV

Exactly.  Who knows what we may have seen and heard.  Thank you for your service.  That must have been an awesome show.  I wish I saw him even one time.  His last show was only an hour away.  I don't remember why I was not there.  I think work got in the way and it was on a Sunday night, but that's not an acceptable reason.

  7. That's great Jackson is home.  I've been around sporadically, Chuck.  Haven't had as much time to keep up here and post regularly.  When I clicked on the C&C forum, it took me back 45 or so pages to August 2nd.  I just went back about a week to try to get caught up.  How is Jake doing?  Marley was hurting big time last year from playing rough with Blaze outside.  We initially gave him low-dose 81 mg aspirin not wanting to get his stomach upset.  Our vet told us we should give him 325 mg SAFETY_COATED aspirin.  He is about 100 lbs so he needed a higher dose, but the key was to get the safety-coated.  Check with your vet.  I know I wrote down notes about how many a day we could give him.  I will look for them.  I think we only gave him one or two a day spread out...morning and night after his meal.  It definitely relieved his pain until he mended.

Mark, can I borrow Mr. Crow?  The last two mornings the crows have been in the woods cawking at each other like you wouldn't believe.  Yesterday I yelled out the window as loud as I could and cawked back.  They kept going for at least 10 minutes straight.  I would have thought they would have cawked them selves sore.  Same thing happened this morning.  I went out in my underwear and beeped the car horn several times...didn't phase them.  Went back inside and got my old Elmer Fudd side-by-side 20 gauge.  Never had a good shot, but the war is on.  Anyway, it would be nice if Mr. Crow could teach them some manners and respect and how to talk in the calm voice Mr. Crow talks with.  Great job!

Going to start jammin SRV pretty soon and most of the night.  Any SRV fans (and I hope that is everyone) come on over to Right This Minute or the SRV Tribute thread tonight and this weekend and join the party!

I wish Jackson, Lee, you and your wife all the best. Our prayers are out for a speedy recovery  :emotion-21:  :emotion-21:

The thought of something like this makes all my concerns small in comparison

Good fortune with it and please do keep us posted

Very well said.  My prayers for your son and family are with you, Sancho.

  9. It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since Stevie Ray Vaughan’s very untimely departure.  He was a phenomenal guitarist.  Thank you Stevie Ray Vaughan for sharing your talent and music!  You are missed big time!

Please share your SRV music plays today & throughout the weekend, in the Right This Minute thread (RTM) at the bottom of the main forum page.

Stevie Ray Vaughan  born October 3, 1954, died August 27, 1990

  10. Hey buds.  Haven't been on in a week or so.  Out the door to the final day of the annual Blues, Brews & BBQ gig.  Melvin Taylor on at 3:00.  I Hope storms don't move in like last year and cancel his gig.  They evacuated the park last year just after we got set up front row on the lawn.  I will check in during the week and get caught up on what's happening here.

I hope you enjoy the below video....

  11. MKP, I wish you were closer.  I dropped my '98 Accord off at my mechanic last Tuesday with what I think is a rear coolant line leak.  It overheated on my wife, but she luckily got home.  I filled the radiator with water and looked for leaking water, and it was leaking from the back of the engine dripping near the catalytic converter.  I have been a loyal customer for 10 years to this mechanic.  They OVER PROMISE & UNDER DELIVER, and I am sick of it.  If I had a lift, I would repair it myself.  I called to follow-up several times, and Friday I called and left a message with the girl up front to have the mechanic call me.  Never got a return call and I tried calling a dozen times Friday.  Well, road construction apparently knocked out their phones.  So what!  In this era with cell phones, they could have at least called and let me know.  I'm still left hanging and with one car since Tuesday.

Anyway, how difficult is it to replace the rear coolant line without a lift?  I am ready to go get the car and do it myself.

  12. Guess what?  BLT's on the menu tonight.  Wife bought 5, 1 lb. packages of Jamestown Brand hardwood smoked sliced bacon from North Carolina for $1.79 per pound!  Just cooked up a pound in the oven and sampled a couple small pieces.  Very tasty!  O.K... bring on the sourdough, thick sliced juicy tomatos, some lettuce and a generous portion of mayo on both sides, and fresh ground black pepper. :P  Damn it, I just drooled on my keyboard again.   :o

Have you tried this bacon down there Chuck?  It is branded as irregular sliced value bacon, great for recipes.  Typically I'm pretty fussy about fat in bacon, but if it's cooked to perfection, like my wife just did, it's all going down the hatch.  Oh, and vodka tonics.   :emotion-46:

  13. Yep Mark in the Fine Food thread.  To answer your question I had two yesterday and one today....so far....but todays early :P

Well the LF wants exercise so I guess its a bike ride   Time to get off this damn lap top for a bit.

Oh man, I'm LOVIN' BLT's lately on lightly toasted sour dough bread. :P  Had 2 on Saturday and only a half (last heel) before hittin' the sack last night.  New loaf of sour dough in the fridge.  I just can't seem to get enough BLT's.  We don't have the tomato plants we had last year, just a couple small ones,  In fact they are still in their pots  :o  because of all the rain & mosquitos.      We need to get them in the ground and hope for a mid-September  small crop.
