kass2178
I am having difficulties connecting my subwoofer (KlipschSUB-10) to the receiver (Yamaha RX-V463BL). I just recently found out that Ineeded a subwoofer cable to connect the two. I'm still a little weary on howexactly to do this as I don't know much about the setup and the manual isn'tgeared towards beginners. Any help would be greatlyappreciated, and thanks in advance. nzorn
You just need a subwoofer cable: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10236&cs_id=1023603&p_id=2680&seq=1&format=2 Or found at any electronics store, you could buy a monster brand cable too, but you'd be shelling out more money, that's up to you. It will connect to the back of your receiver in the Subwoofer Output port and then to the back of the subwoofer.
kass2178
Is this the only conection needed between the sub and receiver? Because if so, I made it a lot harder than it had to be...
nzorn
Yup, 1 cable is it. Then plug it into power and you're all set.

dougdrake
And you probably need to go into the Yamaha's set-up menus and tell it you have a sub-woofer connected and then set the speaker sizes to small, and then set your cross-over settings (unless your Yammy has one of them new-fangled auto-calibration routines involving placing a microphone in the room and pushing GO).
