InventiveAudio.com
Hi, I'm looking at an older pair of Heresys with a K-77 Tweeter, K-53 Mid and K-22 Woofer. In my research it seems that the K-53 Mid sounds quite different then the original and later mids used in the Heresy line. However, I'm not sure if different means better, about the same, or much worse. I would appreciate advice on anyone who has heard the Heresy with this driver. Also, how is the woofer in this Heresy? Serial# 8424867 Am I better off buying a differnt model Heresy? Thanks
djk
I would call this a Heresy 1.5, it has the original woofer and tweeter with the II mid driver.Later on the II horn and driver became a one piece assembly.I like the mids on the original better, but the bass and highs are better on the II.For my money the original Forte' or the Cornwall II are the ones to own, while they have the same mid driver as the later Heresy their crossover networks make it blend better.
