rjrbass
I have read and listened to all of your advice in the past, and I need it again. There is a <1 year old McIntosh MA2275 (integrated tube amplifier, 2 channel @ 75 wrms) available locally for $5,500 Cdn. (about $4,500 US) I can only compare the McIntosh to my solid state class A amplifier (25 wrms/channel). I am confident that the McIntosh will sound better when I do the audition, but is it a good choice? Is the price right? Am I better off spending almost double for a Juicy Musie Blueberry and PCats? I will be using it to drive my Klipshorns, La Scalas and Cornwalls (one pair at a time). My listening pleasure is light rock, female vocals and classical. Thanks for your comments and Merry Christmas to all.
jt1stcav
I've never auditioned Mark's creations yet, but I personally think you're getting a good deal on the late model McIntosh integrated amp. Is it a good choice? Only your ears can determine that IMHO. I'm sure it won't suck! Buy it, try it...if it doesn't measure up, sell it for what you paid towards it, and get the Blueberry and PCats.
