Speedball
Does anyone own or enjoy an older Tuner? I just picked this up from audiogon for under $50.00 and is being delivered hopefully tomorrow.
Batmans Robin
If you don't mind listening to what someone else picks for you, they are a fine way to go. It really comes down to whether you have a station or stations that you can pick up well that you like. There are great bargains to be had out there, straight scoop. Chicago_Pete
I run a Kenwood KT-7300. It has replaced my McIntosh MR71. Blasphemy you say? Nope, this 7300 was modded by Jim Rivers. Locks into stations like a pit bull.

Batmans Robin
I didn't realize that you controlled the computerized playlist at the radio station. Please accept my apologies.
Speedball
Should this work out I may be looking for someone to upgrade or modify this unit in the future. I'll be darned if I can remember the model but I used to have one of the big old monster Kenwood receivers many years ago. There were many toggle switches and a few controls I never did understand for what purpose they served. Ah, just noticed you mentioned "APS". Locks into stations like a pit bull. I also got rid of my MR-71. I think the heavily modded Kenwood is a better receiver - especially for DXing, but the MR-71 had an edge on the sonics with good stations. Totally agree Mark, but I never critical listen to FM anyway. The "McIntosh drift" was an issue even after it was serviced. For my needs, the Kenwood is a keeper.
