RP 3's as center channel or rears

I just picked up a pair of rp 3's dirt cheap and was considering using them on either side of the tv for center channel's or running them as rear mains. Has anyone done anything similar to this? My question is about how to wire these in and not damage my amp or the speakers. My amp is rated to handle down to a 3 ohm load and I've run it at 4 with no problem but the sub's in the rp's are rated at 4 and in my mind even if I run them in series, the subs have their own power supply and It shouldn't do anything, but I only know enough to get myself in trouble, so I wanted to ask the question. The second question is the best way to wire these speakers in and after reading the manual a few times, I'm still not sure what the best way would be to hook them up. I'm also running a velodyne 1250x and a pair of rf 7's for the front. Just looking for some advice.
