Freedo
Hi I'm new to this and i have some questions. I was wondering how my system should be set up..... I have a Marantz SR8500 Bi-amping my front RF-82s. I have set my recever to small for all the speakers. I think that its the cross-over that is set ot 80hrz, my subs are set to 80hrz and flat. and i have an extra pair of RF-82s for my rears as surround. I have a set of SR-52 that i cant plug in right now and that is why i have my front RF-82 Bi-amped. Is this good or bad???? Thanks
wuzzzer
Your crossovers and everything sound fine as far as levels go. If your receiver is 7.1 compatible, your RS-52s should be your side surrounds and your RF-82s as rear surrounds. In any event, if you end up not using your RS-52s you should move your RF-82s from behind you and instead place them beside your main listening position. If you're only using one pair of surround speakers they're supposed to be the side surrounds, not rear surrounds.
