bbmcgee
I would appreciate recommendations on setting up my F-2 Home Theater System (Fronts: F-2, Center: C-2, Surrounds: S-2, Sub: Sub-12). My receiver is a Yamaha RX-V663. The Sub is in the corner behind my TV stand. The gain is set to just under half. The crossover on the sub set to 120Hz and on the receiver to 80Hz. The fronts, center and surrounds are all set to SMALL in the receiver setup menu. The bass is very powerful at this setting, but it seems like dialog is not super clear...just a little hard to hear. Is this how other people would setup these speakers and receivers? Other recommendations? Thanks.
tommyboy
I have my speakers all set to small. As far as the sub goes, I have the sub itself set to 80Hz, and the receiver x'd over at 80 Hz. As far as the dialouge goes, try turning the db's on the center up a little bit..........
falcon20x
Your settings are fine for the X-over part but I think your problem is with the level setting of your speakers. You need to set the distance and the output level too, you will need a SPL meter for the last one.
