center cable hookup?

Hello!

I have an RC-3 and will soon receive my new KLF C-7. The former is biwireable but can you also do this with the C-7? And, if I choose not to go the biwireable way does it matter if I put the two speaker cables in the upper or the lower hookups. On my RC-3 I currently have the speaker cables hooked up to the upper inputs on the back of the speaker. Thanks. Mike

onemike, the KLF C7 has only one pair of connectors, not two like the rest of the Legends.

On the other Legends, there is a gold-plated plate on the KLF-10, 20 & 30 that makes either set of contacts the same. To bi-wire a Legend, that plate must be removed.

I hope the "little" Legend helps. cwm9.gifHornEd

hopefully i understand you question correctly. but if you choose NOT to bi-wire the rc-3 and inten to only use one set of binding posts, you HAVE to have the connecting plates inserted so that the one set of posts still connects to the other. that way both the tweeter and the woofers get a signal. those plates act like a jumper...providing one signal for both posts instead of two seperate signals for both posts...hope that made sense...

one, w/ those gold jumpers on i've read & heard that the cable terms should be attached to the high posts.

though on my rf-3 at one time I, instead of the gold jumpers, just stripped longer strands of bare wire & threaded from the bottom thru the top terminals (try doing that from top-to-bottom (very difficult & for me impossible)). made NO dif whatsoever to these ears, but i'd go w/ the high posts 1st if possible.
