owenh
I have not used this unit in some time and recently connected it to my new Core I7 based pc. I have not hooked it up for some time and but followed the pdf online. I have the unit connected via toslink cable to my pc. My problem is that the control that contains the Dolby Digital decoder and connections does not seem to be functioning, The green standby power light comes on, but I am unbale to make it move to any of the connections and the main LCD does not light up. I do hear some popping sounds come from the speakers, but that is all. Is there anything I can do? Any suggestions would be appreciated. owenh
The sub does make sounds(when I turn the amp on and off) so, I do not think it is the amp. Could it be the control module? When I turn the amp on I sometimes do see a green like flicker in the volume display.
owenh
So I called tech support and they told me that it is discontinued and that I cannot buy another control pod. Is there anything that I can use to connect the speakers(other than the sub) to my pc? Could I buy another companies decoder and use it with the satellites? elliot-tronics
The only way to make that sub work is with its vol control (same type) , try eBay...if they don't have it just get some new speakers.
owenh
I was just interested in using the Satellites with another companies sub and decoder system. There are no controllers on ebay for my system, as I already looked.
elliot-tronics
OK, then yes you can use the sats with other computer speaker amps..just don't plug them directly to a home audio receiver because they could blow.
