mmcc
First time Klipsch owner here - I just picked up a pair of Tangent 5000s in fairly rough shape (one mid is out, needs some cabinet work and grill covers). From searching through the forums, is seems like the rep of the Tagent series is pretty bad. Does this hold for the 5000s as well? It seems like they have the same components of the Forte (K-75-K tweeter, K-53-K mid, K-28-K woofer + passive resistor). Is the sound significantly different? Thanks! Marvel
They don't get no respect! A friend of mine has some Tangent 400s. Same components as the Heresy II, including the HII crossover (labeled as such, too). Cabinet is not as well made, but he got these at a steal of a price. They go lower than the HIIs... I keep saying I will build some Tangent cabs and move my drivers over to them. Some of the Tangents aren't as good, but I think there was just too much competition within the brand.
