_RIGGED_
Howdy gents. I have an Onkyo Receiver model 919THX that is acting strange as of late. Whenever I turn the volume all the way down, it makes a very loud thumping sound; the same thing happens when I change inputs-Video 1 to CD etc.... Any ideas on the cause? Thanks, [:^)] RIGGED
Just_Strummin
Hopefully it is still under warranty. If not, scrap it and get a new/refurbished model b/c fixing it probably won't be the last time you spend money on it.
_RIGGED_
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the unit is 15yrs old and out of warranty-I've decided to gift it to my teenage son, for his guitar hero sessions. Now I need to get some some better speaks. _RIGGED_
I purchased the unit on Ebay, 5yrs ago for 350 clams; I still feel I got my moneys worth. RIGGED
Tarheel
Whenever I turn the volume all the way down, it makes a very loud thumping sound; Ah! I see your problem......keep the volume way up[] You may want to start with cleaning/spray such as Deoxit. Good luck
