No sound in rear speakers with winamp

I'm having trouble hearing music out of my 2 rear speakers when i listen to music on winamp or any other program besides the creative player that came with my soundblaster live. What gives? It's a real pain playing mp3's out of the creative player because you can't make a playlist. Any other programs out there?

sometimes just getting a new winamp will do this. i have never ever ever had this problem. but some others have though. try media jukebox or musicmatch jukebox

My winamp works fine with SB Live and KPM 4.1... have you adjusted the rear volume on the controll pod? I had my rear at full gain before i spaced out my fron speakers better. which brings me to my next point, make sure the speakers are spaced out as evenly as possible. I know this isn't always easy, but be creative. I have a stock of old computer cases and an EQ i don't use for one stand, my dresser for the other, with a "sound tunnel" through the crap for the speaker to progect at me and I moved my computer to the floor so i could use my whole desk. it it really is software, try reinstalling winamp.
