trvale
I currently have a Sony Pro Logic receiver. I will soon purchase a new Dolby Digital/DTS receiver, and want to know if I have to connect a video cable along with a digital audio cable to get the digital surround sound. All the setup guides and manuals say thats how you should hook it up. Is that just for video switching, or does it have something to do with the audio decoding? Thanks and sorry for asking such a stupid question.
dougdrake2
You are right -- it's only if you want the receiver to do video switching. There is no connection between the video and audio signals in the digital realm. Doug ------------------ My System
