willland Posted August 11, 2009 Share Posted August 11, 2009 Welcome to the forum. I only have personal experience with the Onkyo. I have the TX-SR705 and it has served me well for the last 2 years. I am currently using it as a pre/pro with a 3 channel B&K amp. Very reliable with alot of features. The Marantz offers a better preamp and amp section with less bell's and whistles and an inferior video processor than the 706.
