orbital
Greetings, ive had several different sources say I can use the synergy s-2's as the primary speakers. everywhere on the internet i read though that people use them exclusivly as rears along with them being marketed that way. Is this ok to be using as the main speaker instead of bookshelfs? Will i be loosing anything buy using these? it seems anything larger than this would just be to bulky to mount. im wanting to mount them at 45 degree angles at the top of the ceiling on a rectangular room. not surround obviously i just want it room filling and the Wide Dispersion Surround Technology they advertise sounds appealing for my situation. any suggestions or substitutes? for time being im going to use them on a old sony 5 channel receiver, does that effect me in any way too? thanks so so much. Bill H.
Guess you could do that, but I think you'd be losing lots of sound.......... http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/124217.aspx
orbital
due to the mounting setup? or the speakers themselves? or both? my other choice was the rs-10. same story?
Bill H.
The speakers themselves. They were not built to act as a Full Main speaker.............
wuzzzer
They are designed as a Wide Dispersion speaker for surround duty exclusively. You could use them as main speakers but I don't think you'll like them as such.
