achapman
Is it possible to use the Hafler to drive the LF on the KLF-20's and the reciever to drive the HF? Internal crossovers have been upgraded with Auricap caps.
djk
It is possible, but it will probably sound better to just bi-wire and use the Hafler full range.
achapman
Understood. Either my room has bad acoustics or it just isn't enough power. Very bass shy. Thanks!
djk
I've used a big Sansui (DB9090) and a big Onkyo (150W, can't remember the model #), and the Hafler DH220 had more 'balls'. Borrow another amp and see if your speakers are OK. There are some caps that dry up in the DH220 (actually, most amplifiers), that make the bass start to sound anemic. If another amp sounds OK you could replace the caps, they are inexpensive.
