Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!

Finally got my mostly-stock Dyna Stereo 70 back in operation! Had to replace the entire SDS-Labs cap board (Awesome mod, triples the stock filter capacitance, more punch, sweeter highs). I'd killed the first SDS board by sheer carelessness..carbonized a bit of it.

No more 'all cymbals sound like ssssss'. Each and every one has a distinct flavor. Biggrin.gif

Such is the magic of Klipsch and tubes Smile.gif

The Dyna itself is a very very early model.

The SDS Capboard is the big one (the only one Triode Electronics seells, it is nearly a tripling (or more) over the stock can cap. I left the can on for looks Smile.gif

The result is: it doesn't run out of steam anymore, at any volume Smile.gif Better bass (deeper, more controlled) and the extreme highs are more defined. But not etched.
