HornEd
Jazman, I was just about to send an email but noted you are my neighbor across the bay in Antioch... and so I'll pass on this one... although the price is exciting. So, if you pass on them, let me know at eddennis@msn.com and maybe I'll take another run. I have one pair and would like to add two more pair and build a system similar to my hero, the Q-man. By the way, for shipping large valuable items such as the K-horns, I use BAX Global and have them put on a pallet... you will have to box up the K-Horns but they will have a lot safer ride (and don't need near as much crating) if put on a pallet. Also, it is the most economical shipper for large loads. Shipping from Florida to Antioch is about $200. Technically the units must be picked up and delivered to a business address. If they are dropped off at a BAX agent (with a business name as the shipper)... and delivered to your home (addressed to a home business name) then you should be in high cotton for low net prices. Chris Robinson
Rumcaptain, sounds good! Can you post a few low-res pix here so we can see how rough they look? I take it you're saying they need refinishing? Just finished a pair myself of 76 vintage and they came out nicely for a little elbow grease and "stuff". Know JCTurboT is looking for an economical pair up here. ------------------ If you don't like what is coming out, you wouldn't like what is going in." -PWK- --------------------- TWO-CHANNEL SYSTEM AES AE-25 "Superamp" AES AE-3 Pre-amp New Tube 4000 CD Player 1976 Klipschorns (ALK'ed) HOME THEATER Klipsch 1968 ALK Cornwall "II"s (LF/RF) ALK Belle Klipsch (Center) Klipsch Heresy (RR/LR) Klipsch KSW-12 sub Sonic Frontiers Anthem AMP1 (driving Cornwalls) Sonic Frontiers Anthem AMP1 (driving Heresy's) Denon AVR-4800 Toshiba SD-3109 DVD
