Disco_Stu Posted March 17, 2002 Share Posted March 17, 2002 I was busy out and about the dorm and I wanted to hear my R*-3 system as I wandered the halls. So I turned up my Yamaha RX-v1000 to 85% and popped in Metallica's Load cd. After 20 minutes it just shut off. There was an enormous amount of heat coming from it. So I put a fan on the top blowing air onto the heatsink for an hour, came back and it wouldn't turn on. So now I must go an see if I can get it fixed. Anyone else have a problem with their Yamaha receivers overheating?
