HudsonValleyNoah
Hi, I bought a pair of BEC (B&K SOUND) AL-3's (pictured below.) I have installed them in my 1986 LS-BL La Scalas. My '86 La Scalas have K-55-M Squawkers that I was thinking of changing to K-55-V solder tab drivers to go with the KG4guy Type A clones. But now with the Al-3's, Should I still change the K-55's? All opinions are welcome. Thanks, Noah
J.4knee
Not entirely sure but I think the AL network iteration for your LS isthe AL2. My 84's had straight AL's in them. Trey would be the one tocomment one which network was designed for which drive combo.
HudsonValleyNoah
These came with TYPE AL as original equipment but KG4 guy made these TYPE A clones and they sounded really good. I have not been able to listen to the BEC AL-3's yet. I am thinking about the GE oil can caps - thinking that BEC moved to sonicaps and how will I make out with the oil cans... Thanks KG4guy - nice crossovers!
