homemadeheresy
Looking at this crossover schematic of a cCf-3 I was wondering how much boost the T4A gave the high frequency driver going backwards from what appears to be tap #3?????????? WMcD
Bob Crites site says there is a 4 dB drop. That is the normal step down wiring. Therefore there should be a 4 dB gain in the step up wiring. The Klipsch patents shows a similar use. There are actually two patents showing the Valerie or "LB" and the crossover where an autotransformer is used to step up the voltage to the tweeter. The only difference IIRC is in the titles and the claims. One patent is on the bass horn and the other on the crossover. Wm McD
