twins0649
Hello all, How close would Cornwalls need to be placed to an LCD TV to cause shielding interference? I would like to bi amp them to both a Crown amp and an AVR (Model yet to be determined?). The CW would be used for 2 channel music listening and hopefully biamped to the avr for HT use. Thank you in advance to all that respond. Thanks, twins0649
WMcD
LCD's and plasma's should have no problems with the magnetic fields from any source, including speaker magnets. It is CRT's which have problems. In the CRT there is a stream of electons (cathode rays) shot from the cathode in the back toward the screen. The electrons are directed by magnetic fields caused by windings in the neck of the tube. A magnetic field from nearby magnets can cause interference and misguide the electrons. Wm McD
