jonw440
I just picked up a pair of these in oiled walnut. The decals on the back showing the build date, serial number and inspection signatures are missing. Are the serial numbers stamped elswhere? Thank you Jon
Chris A
They're usually stamped on the back along an edge in the end-grain. You can't miss it. If they're not stamped, make sure that the boxes seal properly by carefully removing the backs and looking at the stepped seal along the back's edge and all the other joins in the box. If there are any anomalies, fill them in such that the air inside the box will act as a spring for the woofer. It is usually recommended to replace the capacitors in the crossovers if they are the old oil cans (the large shiny types). Parts Express has fairly good ones. jamesV
make sure that the boxes seal properly by carefully removing the backs Correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't the Heresy II front mount the speakers so the back don't come off. James
