XperienceIt
I have a pair of ESS AMT 1D's with two blown woofers. My question is, should I just replace the woofers with stock ESS twelves from the factory, or use the Heli tweets and build from scratch. I never was to impressed with the bass response(cabinet too small possibly?), or another option of replacing the woofers with woofers other than original. Mike Lindsey
I can't answer your question but that speaker was the speaker that got me into hi-fi. I had a friend who owned a pair in 1977 and then upgraded to the KEF 105's. The ESS's were nice but the KEF's just blew me away. You should get some answers on your question by people far more knowledgeable than I. Good luck...
