vacuumtube
I had these kinks in my Custom 2's that I purchased last September. I thought it was odd, but didn't worry about them until the materail inside started to poke through the mesh after about 2 months. Shortly after that, I had sound go out of one of the phones. I contacted customer support and Klipsch replaced them (2-3 week overall turnaround). I was then very careful to straighten out my cord on the second set, but I still had a connection at the base near the plug that went bad again after about 2 months again! Well, lightning can strike twice, so I contacted support again and Klipsch again replaced them, this time with a refurbed set (another 2 week turnaround). I thought that was less nice than the first time, but I figured they had to cut their costs on these things at some point. Well, I have had these refurbed ones for about 2 weeks and the kinks are much more pronounced in these fore some reason and there is already a bulge at the base near the connector. I have to believe that since I have had 3 sets of these now and ALL have had this problem and there is at least one forum post about this, that there is a design issue with these. Anybody have a way to combat this issue? Any hope of fixing this somehow? Can someone recommend a different set that don't have this problem? Has anyone heard anything from Klipsch about this issue? Thanks!
