Hifi jim Posted April 29, 2010 Share Posted April 29, 2010 Yes. Run. Go now! I picked up my 1.4s which are the successor for $150. I enjoyed them for years and sold them for $450. Demo them if you can, and bring something with heavy bass or drums to check for damage, usually in the sound of a rattle. That's when the coil is pulling away from the panel and needs to be repaired. Magnepan can repair them very reasonably or you can do it yourself. Most are usually fine though. Excellent and large sounding with lots of presence, much like horns.
