Agent Eagle
I have a Denon AVR-4802, that is enclosed in a cabinet with minimal clearance for air circulation. Is it recommended to run a fan behind it, or is it tolerant of heat. Just curious........ soundog
A fan would be a good idea .... Radio Shack or Parts Express carry small fans for electronics. ------------------ Soundog's HT Systems
Trouble maker
Yes you do want to move some of that hot air away from the unit. I have a 4802 and can attest to its heat output. Up on the Denon FAQ site they refer to fan usage when placing the unit in a confined area. It's not as if the unit will melt down immediatly if not kept cool, its just that the heat will shorten the units life. Good luck with your system Denon AVR 4802 RF-3's front RC3II center RS3's Side
