XperienceIt
Ok folks,I have it narrowed down to two subs, the paradigm 2200 or the carver knight shadow. Please cast your vote(and make my life easy!)
TheEAR
What are you looking for? Larger sub or compact sub? If you want a very compact sub with serious bass and great price get the Carver KS. If you dont care about the box size too much and want maximum output for the dollar get the Paradigm 2200. XperienceIt
I think i will stick with the compact sub, which leads me to my new question. I can pick up a new KS for $600 or a new SPL1200 for $800.00, which is the best bang for the buck?
TheEAR
The SPL1200 has more output(4-5dB more),both will dig as deep(no dont just trust the speac sheet). Velodyne had some problems with some of their digital amps in the subs.Carver(Sunfire)are trouble free and work great(after all Bob Carver is THE man when it comes to digitl amp design). I would go with the Carver Knight Shadow.AT $600 its a perfect compact sub, slam, clean bass. Its has real deep sub bass and hits below 25Hz with ease(no not just audible faint bass, real sub bass.I was impressed when I compared this inexpensive unit to much larger subs,a real marvel). Any way you decide to go should be a good choice,SPL1200 or Carver SK. TheEAR(s) Now theears
