KG 3.2 woofers

Hi, I have a pair of KG 3.2 (in oak) that one of the woofers have developed a serious voice coil problem in. I hate to have one woofer "repaired" because it's not likely to sound or look like the other one. Klipsch says they no longer have any replacement woofers (K-1002-K 8") so I'm stuck with one of three things:

1) sell the pair to someone else to play with and/or part out

2) repair/recone BOTH woofers

3) find a K-1002-K used (anybody?!?!? I've been watching ebay with no luck so far)

4) replace them with a different 8" that might sound (and look?) "right"? Ebay has a pair of K-8 and a pair of K-1004. Is there any other model that might work well?

Suggestions? Offers?

I'm in the Seattle/Tacoma area and would make someone a great deal on the pair for local pickup, might consider parting them out, or would love to buy your spare woofers especially if you live nearby and I can throw a bit of money in the gas tank instead of shipping?

Hey, thanks for the welcome!

And yeah, if you can find me a working one I could actually keep these. :) They are my first "big" pair of Klipsch that I picked up after dreaming about a pair of Lascala's that weren't meant to be. I know there there many larger speakers but the mid sized have a certain WAF that makes them easy to like. I also run Klipsch surrounds in my home theater and a pair of KAW 1.1 as accessory desktop speakers powered by a Sonic T-Amp (if you haven't tried one of these yet you should!)

Take your time looking, I'm in no real hurry, but yeah, if you can find me one that works that you don't mind parting with I'd sure like to buy it from you.

Welcome Oktay.

I have 2 8" woofers (K-8-K I believe) from my kg 3s that should work, but are not an exact replacement (which is the most desireable).

The KG 3s have an 8" active and 10" passive..... I have been on the fence.... try to restore? or sell the parts?.......

If interested.... (and Rnuggets cannot help you); let me know.
