Reference rs-42 vs Icon ws-24 for surrounds

Hello, first time poster here.

I was wondering what, if any, would be the noticeable difference between the reference rs-42 and icon ws-24 for surround duty.

My room is sort of small (13 x 17) and I don't think I will really be pushing the speakers to their limit on a regular basis as we have toddler twins in the house.

Rest of the 5.1 system will be the kl-7800 thx inwalls behind an AT screen and two Epik Empires or Epik Legends subwoofers.

Initially being driven by an Onkyo 805 receiver but I will also be looking into an Emotiva xpa-5 if I need more juice.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

hey davecraze,

welcome to the forum, sorry I just don't have any experience with the icon series, I have owned a pair of Rs-42's before and they sounded good, I just am not sure how they would sound with your inwalls, most likely they would sound great as surrounds, I am sure that someone on here will be able to give you a better answer than I did though... Good luck
