cypresshilla Posted September 11, 2010 Share Posted September 11, 2010 Hi guys. I was in the process of repairing the din plug of this CP-1 I came accross but ran into a small problem. The wires in the cable of this control pod are a bit mismatched than what I have in the diagram. My diagram is as follows. http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/7463/cp1diagram.jpg The thing is the only wire I don't have is the black wire. There are only two bare wires as you can see here. http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/1526/wiresq.jpg My question is which wire would I use for the black wire connection because its confusing as all the wires match up with the diagram on the PCB. http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/182/pcby.jpg Sorry about the poor image quality, they're cellphone pics. Mister_Clean Posted September 11, 2010 Share Posted September 11, 2010 either bare wire can be substituted as the black wire, they both share a connection (you can test with voltage meter to confirm). the other bare wire goes to the ground on the outer metal portion (circular) of the DIN connector to complete the ground. With everything done correctly you should be back up and running. If not then you can send me your controller and i will gladly install a new connector for you.
