dj-miguel
i'm looking for an in-wall speaker system for my surrounds, my current system is based on klipsch however i don't have in-wall speakers in the rear. what i'm looking for are speakers that have wall lags attached directly to them making an install that requires very little effort. i'm aware that klipsch makes some models that are setup this way and need to verify if the ones that are listed below have this type of a mount. what i refer to btw, is where you keyhole saw the drywall and place the speaker in the wall, turn the screws and the lags pull the speaker in to position. can someone please confirm if the cs-650, rcw or scw series feature this type of in-wall install or are they more traditional with a frame and drop in place approach. any help would be very beneficial to me on this so that i can order what i need. ------------------ dj - miguel ------------------ dj - miguel
PhilH
dj-mijuel: Welcome to the Forum! The Synergy and Reference In-Wall models all mount like you refer to, using "dogs" that turn and pull the speaker up against the drywall/sheetrock by turning a screw. The Contractor series CS-650-W uses a different system using a metal frame that the speaker is screwed into. PhilH
