seaneys Posted December 30, 2010 Share Posted December 30, 2010 Hello, My Onkyo NR708 receiver has the option of adjusting the crossover settings. The default is 80Hz, but some speaker manufacturers recommend adjusting the frequency up slightly. My home theater has 5800's (Wall Front L/R), RC64 (center), and 5650s (Wall Side). I have not added a rear speaker or subwoofer yet. I'm curious if anyone has recommendations for the crossover settings? CECAA850 Posted December 30, 2010 Share Posted December 30, 2010 Your room and your ears will ultimately decide what's best. Start out at 80Hz and play a few movies. Switch to 60 Hz or so and play the same ones again. See what sounds best. That's half the fun of this hobby, the tweaking. Major edit! Just saw that you don't have a subwoofer.
