jfaullin
I have an opportunity to purchase KG3 speakers. I own cornwalls and thought these might *** to the rears for a future home theatre. They come with stands........are these from the factory? Not much info on the boards to kg3, yet plenty on the kg4. Any info on these will help me. Thanks

dougdrake
I have a pair of KG3s, and they are great "little" speakers. They do not come with stands from the factory. I was surprised at their low end extension -- it seems like it can keep up with the KG4 pretty well. They have a very different sound than the Cornwalls. If you have the space, and can find a good buy, I'd go for Heresys for the rear versus the KG3s. They will more closely match the Cornwalls, I believe. But, for just rear effects speakers, the KG3s would work OK. Doug ------------------ My System
jfaullin
Thanks for the info. I may use them for a separate system in my workshop. I have an older yamaha a-450 amp that needs something to drive. The big key is pusuit of a good deal. I can get these for $50.
dougdrake
At that price, buy 4 or 5 pairs! Seriously, I'd do as you are planning - buy 'em and stick 'em somewhere. They are very nice! doug ------------------ My System
