boa12 Posted April 13, 2002 Share Posted April 13, 2002 louis, think i've heard a few horror stories about tatum. aren't they in vegas? velo officially doesn't allow net sales on the hgs. but u could always use those net prices for some leverage over the local dealer. i got my hgs-18 for $2.2k (+ sales tax ) from the local dealer w/ some negociating. the extra $300 + tax was worth it for the local service & warranty. the ideal would be to find the auth dealer where these net dealers are getting them & do a deal direct w/ them by phone or email, but they're hard to find. might want to go to www.velodyne.com & find some out-state dealers & see if they'll match 1900-2000 over the phone w/ no tax. i know the $3K msrp is a big dealer mark-up. my guess is their cost is somewhere between 1500-2000. ------------------ My Home Systems Page Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
