catalogguy
Hi All, I am looking to start cobbling together a few decent budget vintage items as I having music withdrawals. I have committed to a NAD 7100 and am looking for some Klipsch speakers. There are KG4's available locally from a couple sellers asking $200/pair. Now some RF3's have caught my eye. It is so hard to tell the difference from pictures, stats, etc. I really lean to the warmer and natural tones. Any insights to be shared will be very appreciated. nixonrsx
Hmmm, if you are leaning twoards warmer or natural tones, there is pretty much no Klipsch speaker you are going to like. I have actually owned both of these speakers, and they are both still in my house, although both are for sale as of right now. However of the two, the RF3's are "warmer" than the KG4's, although not even close to the warm or neutral side. I would definitly try to listen to both of them first if possible. Good luck. willland
Catalogguy, Welcome to the forum. I think the KG4's will be an excellent choice to go with your NAD 7100. The KG4's are 80's vintage and the NAD around 89/90. I think the NAD will mate better with the KG4's over the RF-3's. IMO. Good luck, Bill
