mowntnbkr
I have noticed that some of you that built your cornscala's have used more bracing than the original cornwalls. My question is, does all that bracing mean that you have to make the cabinet a little bit bigger to maintain the same amount of free space. It seems to me when you use all the extra bracing that it reduces the total air volume in the cabinet, or am I way off base?
juniper8
Yes, you would have to increase the size for the bracing. There are some great online calculators that can help with volume, I am sure someone will post a link shortly. Good luck and take lots of pictures1
chisoxpurdue
The volume does change. People say with less than 10% change, sound stays pretty much the same. We will see how people attack this here.
Guest " "
There's some nice work on this at this link. The individual added bracing, then compensated for it by modifing the shelf lenth to re-tune the vent ports. http://www.progressive-engineering.com/klipsch/cornwall_mod.htm
