b-a-r-t
OK I have the same crappy defect as everyone with a 2.1. Can't believe that everyone seems to have the same issue, Klipsch should offer to replace the unit for free as this is just bad quality...........with great sound though.... I believe in my case it has to do with either the DIN or the sound input connector, if I move them a bit sometimes the speaker picks up, however I am not able to exclude one of the two as a suspect. How about welding the wires on the board directly, so without using connectors anymore ? Is that a good idea ? Does anyone have a scheme of which wire to be put where ? Ironsave
It is likely the DIN connector that has gone bad. You can acquire another (with instructions) on Ebay for around ~$20. I have been running with a replaced connector for almost 6 years. (I think Klipsch sells them also). They are amazing sound PC speakers; that's for sure.......
